How the kit works together

  1. Heat

The basking bulb and adjustable lamp create a focused warm zone.

  2. UVB

The T5 HO system provides broad UVB coverage across the basking side.

  3. Monitor

Two probe thermometers help confirm a warm-to-cool temperature gradient.

Who this kit is for

Good fit for

  • Leopard gecko keepers planning a monitored warm-side setup
  • New reptile owners who need coordinated heating and monitoring tools
  • Keepers who want a dedicated moist hide and surface-temperature checking tool
  • US households using compatible 110-130V power only

May not be right for

  • Use as a complete leopard gecko habitat
  • International 220-240V electrical systems
  • Use with UVB tubes, LED lamps, fluorescent lamps or non-dimmable equipment
  • Unsupervised setup without temperature testing

Setup guide

Use the kit to create and monitor a warm-side heat zone while also checking humidity and basking surface temperatures. Always test the full setup before relying on it for animal care.

  1. Step 1

    Create the Warm Side

Choose one side of the enclosure as the warm side. Place the deep-dome fixture above the intended basking area so the halogen bulb creates a focused daytime heat zone.

Do not place the fixture where the gecko can touch the bulb, dome or hot surfaces.
  2. Step 2

    Connect the PID Controller

Plug the halogen lamp fixture into the controller controlled output. Place the temperature probe at the warm-side monitoring point according to your enclosure layout.

Only use the controller with compatible dimmable heating equipment.
  3. Step 3

    Position the Environmental Sensors

Place the thermo-hygrometer display where it is easy to read, and position the external probe where it can monitor enclosure temperature and humidity without being damaged by the animal.

Keep cords and probes secured so they cannot be pulled, chewed or trapped.
  4. Step 4

    Check Surface Temperatures

Use the infrared thermometer to check the basking surface, warm hide, cooler side and other key surfaces after the system has been running long enough to stabilize.

Surface temperature and air temperature are different. Check both before introducing or relying on the setup.
  5. Step 5

    Prepare the Moist Hide

Add suitable damp moss or humid substrate to the removable tray and place the moist hide where it fits your warm-to-cool gradient plan.

The moist hide should be humid, not soaking wet. Clean and refresh it regularly.
  6. Step 6

    Test the Complete Setup

Run the full system and monitor readings over time before relying on it for animal care. Confirm that the controller, lamp, thermometer, hygrometer and moist hide all work together as expected.

Keep the product in Draft until sample testing and a complete 24-48 hour system test have been completed.

Important setup notes

Read all included component instructions before use. Final temperatures depend on enclosure size, ventilation, room temperature, mounting height, mesh density and basking surface distance. Keep the product in Draft until sample testing confirms compatibility and safety.
